Blog entries for "Updates"

  • Rethinking Knox'd sections, content

Knox'd now has a more logically arranged URL structure as well as new ways of viewing content down to the feed level. We've also made improvements to how date/time stamps are handled, which helps the display of content in the Knox'd River.

  • Removing feeds, new criteria for content

Several feeds were removed from Knox'd yesterday in an effort to focus the content being aggregated on the site.

But don't feel disheartened if your feed is no longer present! You can contact us to make your case why it should be considered if it meets our new criteria for inclusion.

  • Knox'd now running on WebFaction

Knox'd, the aggregator for the best headlines in Knoxville, is now running on WebFaction's servers. There are still a few bugs to be worked out regarding the crontabs that collect new feed items, but things are stable for the most part.

    It's faster too!

  • The future of the UT event feed

Due to future-dating practices, we have turned off the University of Tennessee events feed and purged several of their entries.

Our visitors want a variety of events, not just campus-centric ones. Fo'shizzle!

  • Knox'd looking for 100th site

We want you, the Knoxville community, to tell us about new sites that are Knox'd worthy.

If your suggested site is our 100th feed, we'll send some new schwag your way.

  • Introducing the Knox'd blog

Knox'd, the news and information aggregation site for Knoxville, has a new blog. This will be used to post updates about new features and any issues with the site.
